Kwasi Amoah

Kwasi is a Chartered Engineer with over 11 years’ experience working on a wide portfolio of civil and infrastructure engineering skills. He has gained knowledge and exposure through working and running small to large scale projects in design, project management and site supervision of multi-disciplinary and highway projects.

Kwasi has gained experience in the use of Manual of Contract Documents for Highway Works (MCHW), Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (DMRB), Sewers for Adoption, Transport for London’s (TfL’s) design standards and other industry-wide design standards whilst working on projects mainly for Highways England and private and Local Government clients. He prepares project briefs and fee proposals in addition to undertaking technical design from feasibility through to implementation in accordance with approved design standards and to ensure that the design complies with Client and Designer duties under the prevailing Construction (Design and Management) Regulations.

Kwasi is responsible for liaising with clients and their design teams, in addition to undertaking designing highway layouts, technical assessments, negotiations with Statutory Undertakers to determine requirements for diversion and/or protection of existing services, drainage design, production of contract documents including specifications, drawings, bill of quantities and conditions of contract.

He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transport (CIHT) in the United Kingdom and actively involved in the activities of the Institution amongst them include undertaking professional reviews, sub-committee group engagement including South East Event Committee which organises training and seminars to provide continuous knowledge sharing with members and general public; Technical/Guidance theme group which considers how standards and guidance are used and Walking /Cycling theme group which considers how to influence planning, policy and strategy to promote these two modes.
