Ruchika has 7+ years of experience with research and electrical engineering. She has a background in FEA (Finite Element Analysis), based electrical machine design and analysis as well as power electronics and motor drives. She is very passionate about electrical machines and motor drives, and apart from her technical background, she is an enthusiastic swimmer and loves to do volunteering work in her spare time. Ruchika started out her career, after finishing her bachelor’s degree, by doing research at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. She later moved to Denmark to complete her master’s degree and is now working in the industry, applying her knowledge about electrical machine design.
Ruchika wants to become a mentor because she wants to give back to DTU. DTU has played a very important role in shaping her career and developing an overall personality. Ruchika wants to help DTU and its students in whichever way possible and she thinks this mentorship program gives her that opportunity. For her, a mentee should be a highly motivated and ambitious candidate, ready to accept challenges and work towards their goals. She sees her role as a mentor to help such candidates fulfill their aim. Ruchika also had a career mentor herself as a student at DTU, which helped her a lot and motivated her to apply for this mentorship program.
