Christian is a software engineer with a strong background in mathematical modelling and high-performance computing. As Lead Software Engineer at SimCorp, he applies expertise in back-end development for complex web applications, GPU acceleration, and numerical computation for solving higher-order, non-linear differential equations. With experience in the FinTech industry and a wide range of programming languages — from C++ and Java to Haskell and MATLAB — Christian is passionate about delivering high-quality, maintainable, and efficient software. He focuses on designing architectures that unlock the potential of modern many-core systems for parallel and massively parallel computing.
I work a lot in trying to get new employees into the industry and into SimCorp when they get hired. I am part of the learning organization here, where I have created many hours of introductory material.
I want to work to help ensure that the mentee completes his/her education by sharing my story of writing specialist software, successes and failures, and providing a view into the goings on in the daily life of a software engineer.
I would also like a bigger network and hear about why the younger generation wants to learn and how they want to thrive.
