I have been working within the offshore wind industry for 14 years, including an expatriation abroad and have gained extensive knowledge and experience, first as a design engineer and later as an engineering manager, managing the design activities of foundations for offshore wind turbines.
I am a young professional working in the wind industry with 3 years at Ørsted and numerous internships and research experiences within the sustainable energy industry. I moved from the US in 2019 to pursue a MSc in Wind Energy at DTU, where I specialized in wind farm planning with a thesis in floating wind farm layouts. After two years as a student assistant in Offshore Cable Installation, I began working full-time at Ørsted a year ago, scoping and designing early-stage wind farms — my work is as dynamic as this exciting industry. My education and career lies at the intersection of technical, economic, and social scopes in the sustainable energy industry.
I am empowering the green transition by supplying decision makers with a straight-forward approach to emission reductions, in accordance with the Greenhouse Gas Protocol and the Science Based Target initiative.
I do this as a project leader at Viegand Maagøe, where we support both industries large and small and public entities in establishing and reaching climate goals in accordance with the targets set out in the Paris Agreement and beyond.
I have 2+ years of experience of working in various large-scale organizations within the pharma, automotive, logistics and energy sector. My career is evolving around developing new strategies and concepts, both on a product and corporate level, to facilitate future growth. In line with that I recently joined a global management consultancy in their Strategy and Transactions practice in order to continue helping CXO’s navigating complexity by reimaging their eco-system and reshaping their portfolios.
2,5 years of experience in developing radio communication and tracking systems for offshore wind farm projects. My tasks range from tender negotiations with contractors to project execution, new markets development, stakeholders management, quality assurance of the delivery, factory tests and so many other things that I can fill in a book 🙂 Currently working on the first two wind farms Orsted is developing in the United States.
I have +25 years experience within the offshore design consultancy and construction. My entire career working as an engineer now mainly focused on larger projects within the offshore wind energy but also larger infrastructure projects integrating several sustainable energy solutions.
I have a PhD from DTU Physics, done postdoctoral research at Stanford University, founded a startup company which got backed by Y Combinator in California, worked at various Danish startups and small businesses and I am now a Data scientist at Topsoe. My interests are in the cross-section between energy, nanotechnology and data science.
I have been working wind energy for the past 4 years since graduation in the R&D departments of two different manufacturers of wind turbines. My work has been primarily focused on designing the internal electrical system of the turbines including technical discussion and alignment with internal stakeholders as well sub-suppliers, testing and validation of our prototype turbines, various types of risk and safety assessment all the way to seeing the end product get installed in the real world.
I am a renewable energy engineer working in Ørsted as Business Analyst. My main focus is on electricity markets and modelling of energy systems. During my career, I have been involved in many interdisciplinary projects specially with a mix of engineering, economics and politics. I am also passionate about sustainability, diversity and inclusion.
